MLB Notes: Veteran Yankees catcher reportedly retiring

Jorge Posada is planning to retire after 17 seasons with the  Yankees rather than pursue opportunities with other teams.   A person familiar with the decision told The Associated Press on Saturday that the five-time All-Star catcher will announce his retirement this month.
